Baby Smashed To Death During Fight In Akoko South West L.G.A Of Ondo State

Tragedy struck yesterday at Supare Akoko in Akoko South West Local Government area of Ondo state when a man, identified as Kehinde Ayelehin allegedly smashed to death a two year-old baby during a free for all fight between him and the baby’s mother over allegation of divulging information to the police.

DailyPost gathered that trouble started when the suspect approached the deceased mother, Oluwabunmi Faith at Alimaliu Igbose Camp via Supare in Akoko and allegedly accused her of giving information to the police which made the police to raid his house in the said camp.

It was learnt further that the accusation did not go well with the woman, who was said to be
carrying her baby at the back when Ayelehin attacked her.

Police source said, the suspect was said to have hit the woman and a fight ensued between them, In the process, he pulled down the baby the woman was carrying at her back and reportedly hit the baby on the ground.

Sensing that the baby had sustained severe injuries, the suspect attempted to run, but a concerned
neighbor, who saw them fighting sent a distress call to the police, leading to an immediate response. The suspect was subsequently arrested, while the minor was rushed to a nearby hospital where she finally gave up the ghost.

It was gathered that the news of the death of the baby generated a lot of reactions from youth in the area, but the timely intervention of the police brought the situation under control.

Confirming the incident, the Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer [PPRO],Mr .Wole Ogodo, an Assistant Superintendent of Police [ASP] said the suspect was immediately apprehended by a team of police detective who visited the scene of the crime.

Ogodo said the police raided the said camp over alleged criminal activities saying the police always act on intelligence report adding that the woman was innocent of the accusation.

He described the action of the suspect as cruel and wicked, saying Ayelehin would be charged to court for murder adding that no man has the right to take another man’s life in whatever circumstances.

The PPRO warned the general public to avoid taking laws into their hands but to cultivate
the habit of reporting cases to the police station for possible settlement.

'Prayer Request For My Father Justice CA Oputa' - Charly Boy(PHOTOS)

Ever since I can remember, I have always admired my parents. Even in their old age, I still see them holding hands every day. As a young lad in the early 50s, I saw dad and mum dance a lot, as if they were rehearsing for a dance competition. They argued a lot and laughed a lot, I just couldn't tell anymore when they were quarrelling or playing. There was a lot of love in my family, for a long time, my folks were like two teenagers in love, there was so much kissing between them that I came to accept that as a show of love and wanted to kiss every girl I fancied. They loved to entertain, so we continuously had guest come over. I grew up believing that every day was some ‘kinda’ celebration. Some of the things that molded me were not only my father’s regimental training and how he was always quick with the cane, but his love for my mum also had a great impart on me. This is the setting, the background of love I am coming from, my pedigree, my rich heritage. It is my pride.

AMINU JOKE OF DE DAY:
 Akpos attended a church

very ugly girl.
While the pastor was preaching he said,
"Tell the person seated next to you
that he or she is beautiful"
Akpos immediately stood up and the
pastor said, "Where are you going?"
Akpos replied, "I'm changing seats, do
you want me to lie in the house of
God?"
